Alberto’s Regular Fit (styles like Pipe and Lou) sits just below the waist and is trim through the seat and thigh, with about a 13.5–14″ leg opening. The Modern Fit (Stone, Bill, George) sits higher — at your natural waist — with a straight, easier leg and about a 15″ opening. If you wear your trousers at the waist, choose Modern; if you like them a touch lower and trimmer, choose Regular.
Check the care label inside your pant. It lists the article number, the style name (like PIPE or STONE), the fabric, and the fit. Type the style name into our search — styles keep their names for decades — or use the “Find it by label” tool on this page. Article numbers find your exact pant while it’s in the current line.
Alberto pants use standard US waist and inseam sizing and generally fit true to size. Golf styles use single European sizes; stretch-waistband golf models wear a little roomier. Because different fabrics stretch differently, the same style can feel slightly different between a stretch denim and a Ceramica — we note it on the product page where a style runs slimmer or fuller.
Alberto golf styles carry the same fit families: the Rookie pant and Earnie short are Regular Fit (trim, athletic), while the PRO-D pant and Master short are Modern Fit (a classic, easier cut). All use performance Cooler fabric — water-repellent, quick-drying, with 4-way stretch and UPF 50+.
Ceramica® is Alberto’s signature dress-pant fabric: a gabardine weave with a ceramic component that reflects heat and UV, keeping the pant breathable, wrinkle-resistant, and machine-washable. It comes in Solid, Two-Tone, and Textured versions across the Pipe, Stone, and George styles.
A note on fit: Alberto cuts each style the same, but fabrics wear differently — a Pipe in stretch denim feels different from a Pipe in Ceramica. Where a style runs slimmer or fuller, we say so on its page. Leg openings are approximate at size 32/32.
